Testing Procedure:
1. To test the propane alarm press the TEST/
MUTE switch any time the alarm is pow-
ered. The LED should turn RED and an
auditable alarm will sound. Releasing the
switch will deactivate the alarm.
2. The GREEN LED will turn RED and the
auditable alarm will sound whenever the
level of propane exceeds the alarm thresh-
old. The unit will continue to sound until
the propane levels drops below a predeter-
mined threshold or when the MUTE button
is pressed.
3. To test the TEST-MUTE button when the
device is active. The alarm should stop
emitting a tone.
4. The RED LED will remain activated in the
event propane levels are above accepted
thresholds.
5. When the levels of propane drop below a
predetermined threshold the LED with turn
GREEN.
6. In the event there are levels of propane
above accepted thresholds the auditable
alarm will reactivate after about 90 sec-
onds.
7. In the event the propane alarm is defective
the LED will turn YELLOW. Have the
propane alarm immediately replaced or ser-
viced by an authorized technician.
8. Your propane alarm will operate down to 8
volts DC. Do not operate the vehicle in the
event the batteries drop below 8 volts DC.
Battery boltage can be checked and moni-
tored on the monitor located in the front of
the vehicle.
PROCEDURES TO TAKE DURING
AN ALARM
1. Turn off all gas appliances. This includes
but is not limited to the stove, heater,
funace, etc.
2. Extinguish all open ames and smoking
materials.
3. Evacuate the unit. Leave doors and win-
dows open during evacuation.
4. Turn off the propane at the tank valve. The
propane tank is located in an exterior lug-
gage compartment. It is identied by not
having a “key lock” feature.
5. Determine and repair the source of the
leak. See professional assistance.
WARNING
Never use a cigarette lighter to test the propane
alarm. Damage to the sending unit of the alarm may
occur disabling the alarm from operating correctly.

WARNING
Test the operation of the propane alarm after the
unit has been in storage, before each trip and a
minimum of once per week.

WARNING
The propane alarm cannot detect propane gas or
sound the alarm for two minutes after it has been
turned ON.

NOTE
When the propane alarm is in the “active” and func-
tioning mode the green LED will be illuminated.

WARNING
In the event the alarm does not sound or the RED
LED fails to illuminate replace the alarm or have it
immediately serviced by an authorized technician.
