3.10 Replacement of worn parts – slide rails
3.10.1 General information
It is very important to assemble slide rails correctly to ensure smooth sys-
tem operation.
Follow the illustrated instructions on the following pages carefully. Ob-
serve the following points:
Single-cut pliers are suit-
able tools for cutting the
slide rails.
Use mounting tool for slide
rail XBMR 170.
Be careful not to damage
slide rail during assembly
Use drill fixture 3920500.
The distance between an-
chor points should be
50 mm
Use a high quality drill bit to
avoid forming a shoulder,
preferably one which is in-
tended for drilling alumini-
um.
•Use XLAH 4x7 rivets.
After riveting the slide rail
clean out the system from
metal chips and other de-
bris, prior to chain assem-
bly
