1. Set the function switch to the
position.
2. Ensure that the meter is set to active power measurement. If the

these indicators are displayed.
3. Take two measurements of the active power, in accordance with Figure 5.4.
4. To measure and display the power factor, press the
button repeatedly
until the
indicator is displayed.
5. Read the power factor value on the display.
• If the value is displayed without a sign, the phase of the current signal is
lagging behind the voltage signal (inductive load).
• If the value is displayed with a minus sign (–), the phase of the current sig-
nal is leading the voltage signal (capacitive load).
