In an uneven terrain environmen
t, the
radar
should be installed so as to follow (or “graze”), to the
extent possible, terrain contour as shown in Figure 4. Optimizing the grazing angle may require
adjusting the tilt angle of the antenna, as described in Section 4.2.1.
Note
FLIR Radars recommends asking your Sales Representative about site surveys prior to all first
installations, to ensure proper site selection and ideal system installation recommendations for
optimal functioning of the radar to your specific requirements.
