  If your Flotec Water Pump runs but pumps very little or no water, ensure a check valve is installed and functioning between the primary pump discharge and the Backup Sump Pump tee. Also, check the discharge pipe for obstructions. Verify that the discharge pipe length and/or height does not exceed the pump's capacity. Check for a low or defective battery. Finally, ensure that the positive (+) and negative (–) wires are not reversed.

  If your Flotec Water Pump won’t run, check all wiring connections. Also, check for a low or defective battery. Ensure that the automatic switch is free to swing up and down. Check for a blown fuse in the junction box of the FP1800DCC system or in the charger of the FP2800DCC system. Make sure the strap cover is securely on the battery box.
