LCD NEW
The calculation of the display-information influences the power
consumption significantly. When the application does not require a
fast display refresh rate, it is strongly advised to select a slow refresh
rate. Please understand that NO information will be lost; every pulse
will be counted and output signals are generated in the normal way.
The following can be selected:
FAST 1 sec 3 sec 15 sec 30 sec OFF
When “off” is selected the display will switch off automatically.
When an update rate other than “fast” is selected, pressing a key will
switch the update rate to “fast” for 30 seconds. After this time, the
display will return to the configured update rate (or switch off).
After a button has been pressed by the operator - the display refresh
rate will always switch to fast for 30 seconds.
When 'OFF' is selected, the display will temporarily turn on after
touching one of the keys and turn off automatically after 30 seconds.
5.5
BACKLIGHT
The unit is provided with a backlight. The backlight brightness can be
adjusted from off (0) to a 100% in steps of 20%.
The following can be selected:
0% - 20% - 40% - 60% - 80% - 100%
For battery powered units the brightness is not adjustable.
When the unit is only loop powered it cannot make use of the
backlight. In that case an external supply is required.
5.6
BARGRAPH
The unit has a speedometer display which offers a quick impression
of the actual flow rate. The following can be selected:
Disabled: the bar graph is switched-off.
Absolute: according to the absolute value of the differential
flowrate (negative flow will be displayed as positive flow)
Rate A: according to the calculated flowrate for flow A (forward).
Rate B: according to the calculated flowrate for flow B (reverse).
5.7
RATESPAN
With Ratespan the range of the speedometer can be set. The display
shows 0 100 with 20 blocks so each block is 5% of the 100% range
set here. The following can be selected:
0000000 9999999
The number of decimals displayed depends upon SETUP 2.3.
3.3.7 EXPLANATION OF SETUP-MENU 6 FLOWMETER
To simplify the configuration of the Flowmeter, total and flow rate settings, the E115-P is equipped
with an automatic unit conversion feature. This avoids different K-Factor calculations for Total and
Flowrate and all configuration it done inside the Flowmeter menu. To use the automatic unit
conversion, you only need to enter the (average) K-Factor and the related measurement unit. These
can be found on the test/calibration certificate that came with your flowmeter.
For a detailed description and tutorials on the automatic unit conversion function, please refer to our
website or your supplier.
To setup the automatic unit conversion, follow this procedure:
1. SETUP 6.1 and 6.2: Select the correct type of flow meter signals
2. SETUP 6.6: Select the type of measurement unit used on the certificate: volume or mass
3. SETUP 6.7: Select the measuring unit according to the certificate
4. SETUP 6.8 and 6.9: Enter the (average) K-factors shown on the certificate.
5. SETUP 1.1: Select the desired measuring units for (accumulated) Total.
6. SETUP 2.1: Select the desired measuring units for Flow rate
