Overview

The FS-MG41 is a simplified 4-channel digital proportional radio control system designed for beginners and experienced users, specifically for car and boat models. It utilizes the 2.4GHz ANT Automatic Frequency Hopping Digital System, offering a lightweight, compact, comfortable, and ergonomic design. The system includes a transmitter (FS-MG41) and a receiver (FS-R4A).

Function Description:

The FS-MG41 transmitter outputs a total of 4 channels:

  • CH1: Steering Wheel (Traversing handwheel, 35 degrees on each side)
  • CH2: Throttle Trigger (Throttle button, 25 degrees in front and 12.5 degrees at rear)
  • CH3: Three-position Switch
  • CH4: Key Switch (Push button switch with flip type function, output toggles between 1000us and 2000us by default)

The system supports channel reverse for CH1 and CH2 via ST.REV and TH.REV switches. Trims (ST.TRIM for CH1, TH.TRIM for CH2) allow fine adjustment of neutral positions, with an adjustment range of -120us to +120us. D/R (Dual Rate) for CH1 (ST.D/R) and CH2 (TH.D/R) allows adjustment of servo travel amount from 0% to 120%.

Mode Switching:

The system features two modes, switchable by pressing the BIND button twice within 1 second.

  • Mode 1 (Default): R.LED is always on, G.LED is off. ST.TRIM and ST.D/R control CH1. TH.TRIM and TH.D/R control CH2.
  • Mode 2: R.LED and G.LED flash alternately. ST.TRIM and ST.D/R control CH3. TH.TRIM and TH.D/R control CH4.

Failsafe:

The failsafe function allows users to set specific servo positions in case of signal loss. To set, hold the desired channel position and press and hold the BIND button for 3 seconds. The G.LED will flash for 2 seconds to confirm. The fail-safe function has no default setting and must be set manually. If not set, the receiver will not output anything when signal is lost.

Beginner Mode:

Designed for new users, this mode limits throttle to 50 percent, with a channel range defaulting to 1250~1500~1750us. To activate, press and hold the channel 4 button while turning on the transmitter. The G.LED will flash slowly for 3 seconds during power-on if in beginner mode.

ESC Parameter Setting:

The transmitter features a dial switch for setting ESC parameters:

  • Running Mode:
    • FWD/REV/BRK (No. 1 slide switch down): "Double click" reverse mode. First reverse input brakes, second reverses. Suitable for general models.
    • FWD/REV (No. 1 slide switch up): "One click" reverse mode. Immediate reverse action. Suitable for rock crawlers.
  • Battery Type:
    • LiPo (No. 2 slide switch down)
    • NiMH (No. 2 slide switch up)
  • Drag Brake Force:
    • 0% (No. 3 and No. 4 slide switches down)
    • 50% (No. 3 slide switch down, No. 4 slide switch up)
    • 75% (No. 3 slide switch up, No. 4 slide switch down)
    • 100% (No. 3 and No. 4 slide switches up)

  • Power On/Off: Always power on the transmitter before the receiver and power off the receiver before the transmitter. Ensure throttle is at its lowest position and switches are in the up position.
  • LED Indicators:
    • R.LED (Red): Power indicator.
    • G.LED (Green): Status indicator.
    • Car Battery (D3, Two-colors light): Green (high power), Yellow (medium power), Red (low power), Red slow flash (power off), Off (receiver drops code).
  • Binding: The transmitter and receiver are factory-bound. For new or replacement receivers, turn on the transmitter while holding the BIND button (G.LED flashes quickly), then release. The receiver will automatically enter matching code mode after 1 second. Successful binding is indicated by a solid LED on the receiver.
  • Stick Calibration: Used to set neutral positions for throttle and wheel. This involves holding the wheel clockwise and throttle forward while powering on in calibration mode, then turning the wheel fully clockwise and counterclockwise, and pulling the trigger back and forth. The R.LED, G.LED, and D3 indicators provide feedback during calibration. Press the BIND key to save and exit.

Maintenance Features:

  • Battery Installation: Requires 4x AAA batteries. Ensure correct polarity. The G.LED will flash slowly when battery voltage drops below 4.2V.
  • Safety Guidelines: Emphasizes not using the product at night, in bad weather, or when visibility is limited. Avoid moisture exposure. Do not operate near other radio control activity, power lines, communication antennas, people, roads, or passenger boats. Do not use when tired, uncomfortable, or under the influence of alcohol/drugs. Maintain line of sight with the model. Avoid touching hot parts of the model.
  • Battery Safety: Only use specified batteries. Do not open, disassemble, crush, puncture, short, expose to excessive heat/liquids, drop, or use if damaged. Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Environmental Disposal: Old electrical appliances, including batteries, must be disposed of separately from household waste at communal collecting points to facilitate recycling and proper treatment of toxic substances. Risk of explosion if batteries are replaced by an incorrect type.
