How to fix a Freemotion walking belt that is off-center or slips?
    • J
      Jason ChanJul 26, 2025
If the walking belt on your Freemotion Treadmill is off-center or slipping, here's what to do: * If the belt has shifted to the right or left, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use the provided hex key to turn the roller adjustment bolts 1/4 of a turn in the indicated direction. Be careful not to overtighten the belt. * If the belt slips, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Turn both roller adjustment bolts clockwise 1/4 of a turn. The belt should just touch the platform when properly tightened. Keep the belt centered. Plug in the cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until properly tightened.

Why does the walking belt on my Freemotion Treadmill slow down when I walk on it?
    • C
      Cody StanleyAug 10, 2025
If the walking belt on your Freemotion Treadmill slows down when you walk on it, it might be overtightened, which can decrease performance and damage the belt. To check, when the belt is properly tightened you should be able to lift each side 2.5 to 5 cm (1 to 2 inches) off the platform. If adjustment is needed, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use the included hex key to turn both roller adjustment bolts counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn. Plug the cord back in, insert the key, and test for a few minutes, keeping the belt centered. Repeat until properly tightened.

      Joseph LewisAug 17, 2025
If the incline system on your Freemotion Treadmill isn't working correctly or doesn't match the display, the incline system may require calibration. Turn the power off, wait 5 seconds, then turn it back on. The treadmill will automatically move to the lowest incline and then return to level during the calibration.
