  Distortion during recording with your FTR Music Mixer is usually caused by input or recording levels being set too high. To resolve this, check and adjust the input and recording channel levels using the DMX8 Configuration. Also, ensure that the input type is correct for the microphone you are using.

How to fix hum or buzz when recording with FTR DMX8 Music Mixer?

  A hum or buzz in your recording is usually caused by electrical interference to the microphones or cables. To fix this, ensure all cables and microphones are moved away from possible sources of interference such as computers, monitors, mixers, and lighting. If the problem persists, disconnect all microphone cables and reconnect each one until the buzz returns. Replace the cable and/or microphone that introduces the buzz.

  If the FTR Reporter unexpectedly starts the Settings Wizard, it's most likely because the DMX8 USB Mixer wasn't powered on before the computer. To solve this, exit the Settings Wizard, power up the DMX8 USB Mixer, and then reboot the computer.

  If the Input Level LED doesn't illuminate when testing a microphone, check that the microphones and cables are correctly plugged in and wired to correct standards. Also, ensure the input level settings on the DMX8 Configuration are set to the correct values (Dynamic/Condenser and Phantom Power). If the problem persists, swap the microphone and/or cable for known good ones. If the problem still persists contact your vendor.
