Cleaning the notebook
Do not clean any interior parts yourself; leave this job to a service technician.
Only use cleaning products designed for computers. Normal household
cleaners and polishes can damage the markings on the keyboard and the
device, the paintw ork o r the notebook itself.
Ensure that no liquid enters the notebook.
The LCD screen very sensitive to scratches. Only clean the display
surface with a very soft, slightly damp cloth.

► To prevent the device from being switched on unintentionally, r emove th e AC
plug of the power adapter from the power outlet a nd switch off the battery (see
chapter "
Switch the ba ttery off an d on", Page 37).
The surface can be cleaned with a dry cloth. If particularly dirty, use a damp cloth th at has
been dipped in water mixed with mild domestic detergent and then carefully wrung out.
You can use disinfectant wipes to clean the keyboard a n d the touchpad.
Ensure that n o liquid enters the device.
► Do no t spray any liquid on the device!
If liquid is accidentally spilled on the notebook during use:
► Switch off the notebook and remove the power adapter.
► Turn the notebook over so as to let the liquid run out of it.
► Disconnect the battery (see Chapter "
Switch the battery off and on", Page 37).
► Allow the notebook to dry for at least 24 hours.
► If the notebook cannot be switched on after reconnecting the power adapter,
please contact our Hotline/Service desk.
