SmartCard reader is not recognised.
Cause
Troubleshooting
Chip card inserted incorrectly.
Make sure you have inserted your
SmartCard into the SmartCard reader
with the chip facing upwards/downw ards
(device-dependent).
Ch eck whether the S martCard you are using
is supported. Your SmartCard must comply
with the ISO standard 7816-1, -2, -3 and -4.

your system administrator.
If the supervisor password is also no longe r
available, please co ntact our Hotline/Help
Desk. You must provide proof of ow nership
for the notebook. The helpdesk will then
refer you to our service partne r, who will
unlock your notebook (for a charge).
