Wipe downwards. When cleaning take care to prevent the cleaning wipe from catching on the

metal parts





Turn the Scanner OFF while cleaning the following locations

ADF Glass Surfaces x 2

Located on the ADF cover and opposite side. Clean lightly.

Pick Roller

Clean lightly taking care not to scratch the surface.

Plastic Rollers x 4

Clean lightly while rotating with your finger. Take care not to roughen the surface.



White Sheets x 4

White strips along the edge of the glass. Clean lightly.

Why are lines blurred on scanned documents from my Fujitsu Scanner?

  If lines on the document are blurred when using your Fujitsu Scanner, and you are scanning in color mode documents including handwritten or typed text, tables or frames with ruled lines, it's because the color mode is best for capturing colored images. For documents with textual content, select the checkbox for [Setting for text only document] at [Scanning] D [Option] in the [ScanSnap Manager - Scan and Save Settings] window. If this doesn't improve the result, change the [Image quality] setting.

  If the image scanned by your Fujitsu Scanner is too light or too dark, check the [Brightness (Black and White scanning only)] setting on [Option] of the [Scanning] tab. Adjust the [Brightness] at [Scanning] D [Option] in the [ScanSnap Manager D Scan and Save Settings] dialog box.

  To prevent images on the back of pages from appearing on the scanned image when scanning a two-sided document with your Fujitsu Scanner, ensure the [Setting for text only document] checkbox is marked in the [Read mode option] dialog box, which can be found under [Option] on the [Scanning] tab of the [ScanSnap Manager D Scan and Save Settings] dialog box.

  If your Fujitsu Scanner isn't turning on, ensure the power or USB bus power cable and USB cable are correctly connected to your computer. If you're using a hub, verify its power supply. For USB bus power, use a powered hub with an AC adapter; non-powered hubs may cause issues. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the power or USB bus power cable, waiting at least 5 seconds before reconnecting. Also, make sure the Paper chute cover is open and that Windows has fully started, as the LED might turn off during startup or sleep mode.

  If the document is not fed properly or gets jammed in your Fujitsu Scanner, it might be due to dirt inside the scanner or using paper that is thin, torn, or bent. Clean the dirty locations. When scanning a document that is hard to feed, load it sheet by sheet.

  Your Fujitsu Scanner may not turn on due to several reasons. Ensure the power or USB cable and USB bus power cable are correctly connected to the computer, especially when using a hub—verify its power supply. If using a USB bus power cable, a powered USB hub with an AC adapter is necessary, as a non-powered hub may cause malfunction. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the power or USB bus power cable, waiting at least 5 seconds before reconnecting. Also, make sure the paper chute is open and that Windows has completely started, as the LED might turn off during startup or sleep mode.
