3. Switch off the MU
Ê Switch off the MU using the SE Manager (menu Hardware →
Units[ → <se server>] (SE<model>), Units tab, Switch off symbol), see the “Operation and
Administration” manual [5]
Before the MU is switched off, the power-on indicator lights up green, and after it has
been switched off, it lights up orange (item 11 in figure 10 on page 50). Check this
before continuing.
4. Switch off the optional hardware components
Ê Switch off the ETERNUS LT40 S2 tape library using the On/Off switch on the front (see
the "Additive Components" Operating Manual [4]).
Ê Switch off any other connected hardware components.
i The ETERNUS JX40 S2 disk storage system connected to a Server Unit is
switched off automatically when the Server Unit is switched on/off.
