MAINTENANCE EDR-SOLA-IOM-2022-0216 SECTION 4
4-14
PROBLEM CAUSE CHECK
Flame lost in run - Lockout
108
Boiler / Maintenance Items 1. Verify Gas pressure (Incoming to the Dungs lockup regulator >4”WC at high re,
Incoming to Dungs MBC gas valve >3”WC at high re)
2. Verify Combustion at low and High Fire. See Tables 9 and 10 on page 3-7 for
acceptable ranges.
3. Verify Venting Pressures and Congurations. See page 2-21 for acceptable
ranges and installation.
4. Pull the burner. Inspect for dirt/dust that could cause it to clog and any other
physical issue.
Moisture collecting inside the
combustion blower
Boiler / Maintenance Items 1. This is caused by moisture in the ue gas vent being pulled in the reverse ow
direction during an o cycle.
2. If a common manifold ue gas vent is installed, measure the pressure of the
common manifold at each condition (idle, light o, low re, high re) using a
slack-tube monometer. The common ue should always be maintained at a slight
negative draft pressure. A positive pressure can push exhaust gases and moisture
in the reverse direction.
3. Inspect the boiler room space for ventilation fans. If present, conrm the fans are
intake fans pushing air into the space. Exhaust type fans should never be used in a
boiler room as they can draw a negative pressure in the space.
4. Using a slack-tube monometer, verify the boiler room pressure is neutral relative
to the outdoors. If the room is measured to be in a negative, this must be resolved.
5. Where boilers are using room combustion air provided by openings
communicating directly with the outdoors, verify the wall openings meet or
exceed the net free area requirements detailed in Table 6. Be sure to take into
account the blocking eects of grills and louvers.
Waiting for Safety Data
Verication - Lockout 2
Controller / Settings ** Safety Data or Settings have changed and require verication
From the Conguration Menu Select Verication in the bottom right corner. Press
Begin (Login Required) and follow the prompts. Final step will be to press/hold the
reset button on the SOLA base for 2-3 seconds.
Flame detected out of
sequence - Lockout 105
Boiler / Maintenance Items 1. Verify wiring and connection between SOLA base, UV Scanner, and associated
terminal blocks.
2. Cover or block the sight glass to prevent light from the room from being picked
up by the sensor.
3. Remove and visually inspect the UV sensor, When looking at the eye sensor
should not blink or light up. Note that overhead lights will trigger the sensor.
4. Swap sensors with a known good unit to see if the issue follows, or replace with
new sensor.
