SECTION 4 EDR-SOLA-IOM-2022-0216 MAINTENANCE
4-13
PROBLEM CAUSE CHECK
Fan speed not proved -
Lockout or Hold 62
Light o rate proving failed
- Lockout or Hold 122
Purge rate proving failed -
Lockout or Hold 123
Power / Wiring /
Connecons
** A Yellow Hold is not an issue unless the fan speed does not reach the required rate and
locks out.
1. Verify Incoming 120VAC power
2. Conrm that the Blower is running
3. Conrm the Fuse for the Blower.
4. Conrm the wiring harness and connecon for 120VAC power.
5. Conrm the wiring harness and connecons between the blower and SOLA base (J2 plug).
Boiler /
Maintenance Items
1. Pull and Clean the Burner with compressed air (requires burner gaskets)
2. Check for blockages or obstrucons in the Air Intake or Exhaust venng.
3. Verify that the 3-posion damper is opening AND closing to the appropriate posions.
Flame lost early in run -
Lockout 107
Ignition failed - Lockout
109
Power / Wiring/
Connections
1. Verify the transformer ground; the connection point should be to bare metal and free of
paint or powder coat with an appropriately sized star washer installed.
2. Conrm the wiring harness and connections for 120VAC power and between the blower and
SOLA base.
Controller / Settings 1. Increase light o RPM (Congure >> Burner Control Timings and Rates)
2. Increase low re RPM (Congure >> Modulation Conguration) such that low re manifold is
>0.2" w.c.
Boiler / Maintenance
Items
1. Verify that the main gas valve lter is clean (blue). See Figure 75.
2. Perform verication of O2% repeatability a minimum of 10 times, adjust and retest as
necessary. Refer to section Commissioning The Neg-Reg System.
3. Measure the low re manifold gas pressure and if necessary, increase the low re RPM
setting until the low re manifold gas pressure meets or exceeds the value recorded on the
factory Test Fire Report. For sites experiencing multiple lockout 107 codes increase RPM until
low re manifold is >0.2 "w.c.
4. Verify that the 3-Position Damper is closed’ perpendicular to the air intake pipe when the
unit is o, and adjusts to the appropriate 20-30 degree range during light o.
5. Conrm that the correct ignitor for the burner is installed with the bridge, proper oset, and
proper electrode and burner gap. See Figure 76.
6. Verify the ignitor electrode and burner gap is not contacting the combustion chamber heat
shield ring.
7. Verify that the ignition transformer has power and the Ignitor is sparking.
8. Verify Gas pressure (Incoming to the Dungs lockup regulator >4”WC at high re, Incoming to
Dungs MBC gas valve >3”WC at high re)
9. Verify that solenoid on the enrichment gas train is actuated during light o and an
appropriate amount of gas pressure is seen (1.0 to 3.5”WC)
10. Using a slack-tube monometer, verify the boiler room pressure is neutral relative to the
outdoors. If the room is measured negative, this must be resolved.
11. Inspect the boiler room space for ventilation fans. If present, conrm the fans are intake
fans pushing air into the space. Exhaust type fans should never be used in a boiler room as
they can draw negative pressure in the space.
12. Verify Venting Pressures and Congurations. See page 2-21 for acceptable ranges and
installation requirements.
13. Increase the MBC Dungs Valve Oset up to 1 full turn positive.
14. Pull the burner. Inspect for dirt/dust that could cause it to clog and any other physical issue.
Clean with compressed air only if necessary.
15. If the issue persists after thoroughly completing all of the above steps, contact your Fulton
Representative for upgrade kit # 7-53-070000.
