Usage Features:

  • First Use and Flushing: Before initial use or after long periods of disuse, the machine must be flushed to clean the internal piping. This involves filling the water tank and running a flush cycle by pressing the lungo button.
  • Water Tank Filling: The 0.8L water tank can be filled either directly into the machine using a jug or by removing the tank, filling it to the "MAX" mark with cold fresh water, and then reattaching it.
  • Brewing Coffee:
    1. Place an empty cup under the adjustable dispenser.
    2. Move the handle up and back completely.
    3. Insert an ESE pod or a capsule into the compartment. For ESE pods, slide back the ESE pod cover before insertion.
    4. Close the handle firmly.
    5. Press the desired coffee button (espresso or lungo) once. The button will blink, and brewing will start, stopping automatically at the default brewing time.
    6. Raise the handle to eject the used capsule/pod into the container, then close the handle.
  • Refilling Internal Circuit: If the water tank runs out during brewing, the process can be stopped by pressing the blinking button. After refilling the tank, the machine should be flushed.
  • Energy Saving Mode: The machine automatically enters energy-saving mode after 15 minutes of inactivity, indicated by cyclically flashing buttons. Pressing any button will wake the machine up, and it will warm up before being ready to brew.
  • Programming Coffee Volume:
    1. Ensure the water tank is in place.
    2. Move the handle back completely.
    3. Insert a capsule or ESE pod.
    4. Close the handle firmly.
    5. Press and hold the desired button. Release the button once the desired coffee volume is reached. The new volume will be recorded for future use. The volume range is controlled by time, from 13 seconds (approx. 25ml) to 90 seconds (approx. 150ml). The blinking frequency of the button (1 blink per second) can be used to estimate brewing time.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Emptying Capsule/Pod Container and Drip Tray: The used capsule/pod container holds approximately 10 items. It is recommended to empty it daily. The blue light indicates when the container is full. To empty, raise the handle, raise the dispensing spout (if in low position), pull out the drip tray firmly, dispose of used items, and rinse the drip tray set with fresh water.
    • Coffee Machine Cleaning: Always unplug the machine before cleaning. Never immerse the machine in water or clean it under running water. Clean the machine with a dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents or materials.
  • Decalcification: To prevent damage from lime particle build-up, decalcify the machine at least every 300-400 cups of coffee or monthly.
    1. Pour a commercially available coffee machine descaling solution (diluted according to manufacturer's instructions) into the water tank.
    2. Ensure no capsule/pod is inside the machine.
    3. Place a large bowl under the dispensing head.
    4. Fill the water tank to maximum level with the descaling solution.
    5. Ensure the solution is completely dissolved.
    6. Press the small button multiple times to run the entire tank of descaling water through the machine, mimicking normal coffee brewing.
    7. Repeat the process with another tank of descaling solution.
    8. Finally, flush the internal circuit with a tank of fresh water (without descaling solution) to clean it completely.
  • Steaming Out/Storage/Transport: Before long periods of disuse or storage/transport at temperatures below 5°C, the machine must be steamed out to remove water and prevent frost damage.
    1. Turn on the machine.
    2. Empty the water tank and place it back.
    3. Place an empty cup under the coffee dispensing spout.
    4. Press the "Lungo" button to start steaming out. The process is complete when the pump stops automatically.
    5. Turn off and unplug the machine.

Safety Precautions:

  • Always unplug the machine before relocating, cleaning, maintenance, or long periods of disuse.
  • Never touch the power plug/socket/cable or machine with damp or wet hands.
