Section 1: Introduction
This job card explains how to display the Windows 2000 System logs. These logs are not stored in
ASCII format and thus cannot be read directly from the file. The windows 2000 log files are:
u System—Drivers and OS level logs.
u Security—Security and Auditing logs.
u Application - application related logs, not to be confused with the RA600 (RadWorks) workstation
applications log file that is separate. See TSG 007 - Display Centricity RA600 Application Logs
on page 245.
Section 2: Procedure
1. Select Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer.
2. The appropriate log file can be selected from the Log menu option. This menu item can also
be used to clear or save log files to a ASCII file. The View menu option can be used to filter the
log files.
