n CNF 001 Initial Power Up and Software Configuration
Section 1: Introduction
This job card covers configuring the workstation OS software using customer site specific data.
Refer to the forms in CNF 005 on page 107 for the customer information.
The workstation has the OS software and the application software installed at the time of
manufacturing.
Note: Important site-specific identification and connectivity values for the system must be recorded
in Chapter 1, Section 9 to facilitate ROC support of the site and to complete the installation
process. Filling in this data as it is collected will avoid lost time re-collecting it later.
Section 2: Items Required
The following items are needed at the initial system power up:

A VGA service monitor for A, A+, B, and B+ monitor configurationis
u
Windows 2000 Registration ID Number
u
RA600 License File
u
Site-specific configuration information

On A+, A, and B systems, no boot information is displayed on screen until
windows has booted to a point where the video drivers have started. Boot
time before the video is displayed, is approximately two minutes. Resetting
the system during boot time may cause future boot problems.
If you need to see boot information, connect a VGA monitor to the onboard
(montherboard) VGA port.
