4. Remove 4 Phillips screws from the evaporator
cover.
5. Remove the evaporator cover.
6. Disconnect the evaporator fan cable
connectors and the ground wire.
7. Loosen 2 Phillips screws from the evaporator
fan mounting.

8. Pull out the fan and remove the light and
defrost heater wiring harness.
9. Remove the fan.

Defrost Heater and Freezer Thermistor
The defrost heater warms the evaporator during
the defrost mode of operation. The freezer
thermistor, located at the bottom left side of the
freezer compartment, senses the temperature in
the freezer.
1. Complete steps 4 and 5 in the previous
procedure.
2. Remove 2 Phillips screws from the defrost
heater.
3. Remove the heater.
