31 Out of balance in

This fault is set if the machine is unable
to reach target spin speed and cycle
completes at a lower spin speed due to out
of balance (OOB).
 Run a drain and spin cycle to
HQVXUHEDVNHWUHDFKHV¿QDO
spin speed and the spin LED
does not blink. (A blinking
spin LED indicates an out of
balance was detected during
¿QDOVSLQ
 Check balanced ring, tub and
basket for damage.
 Check that rod and spring
assemblies are properly
seated.
 &KHFNVSHHGVHQVRULV¿UPO\
mounted to the drive motor.
 (QVXUHWKHZDVKHULV¿UPO\
seated on all four level legs and
is level.
 If the washer spins properly,
educate consumer on how to
properly load and distribute
clothes in the washer to prevent
an OOB load.
32 Lid Lock Failure Cycle cancelled due to inability to unlock
lid.
 Check the lid lock by running
Spin Test 14 to ensure lid lock
operation.
 Ensure that lid lock is not
blocked by any external debris.
 Check lid switch and lock
continuity at J513 on the
control.
 Ensure proper 120 VAC (while
activating) to the lock assembly.
 Replace lid lock
 Check harness from the
control to the lid lock assembly
for proper connection and
or damage. Replace as
necessary.
