Transitioning to Firmware Update Mode
The module transitions to firmware update mode for any of the following reasons:
1. Winloader has commanded the module to enter firmware update mode. This is normal when a
firmware update has been initiated from Winloader.
2. The PNC does not have a valid firmware image at power-up. The PNC performs checks to
determine the firmware image is valid and has not been corrupted before it begins execution. If
the validation fails, firmware update mode is activated until a valid image has been stored.
