Why does my new GE Hob oven doesn't cook like my old one?
    • G
      Gary GregorySep 7, 2025
Your new GE Hob oven has a different cooking system from your old oven and therefore may cook differently than your old oven. For the first few uses, follow your recipe times and temperatures carefully. If you still think your new oven is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the temperature yourself by following the steps in Special Features to meet your specific cooking preference. This adjustment affects Bake and Convection Bake temperatures; it will not affect Convection Roast, Broil or Clean.

      Charles BennettSep 8, 2025
If the shiny, silver-colored racks in your GE Hob oven are difficult to slide, it may be because they were cleaned in a self-clean cycle. Apply a small amount of vegetable oil to a paper towel and wipe with Pam® or other lubricant sprays.

Why is my GE Hob food not baking properly?
    • A
      ajohnsonAug 31, 2025
If food isn't baking properly in your GE Hob, several factors could be the cause. It could be that the oven controls are improperly set, so check the Cooking Modes section. Other potential issues: the rack position is incorrect or not level (see the Cooking Modes section and Cooking Guide), incorrect cookware or cookware of improper size is being used (see the Cookware section), the oven temperature needs adjustment (see the Special Features section), or you made an ingredient substitution that changed the recipe outcome.
