    • M
      Manuel BarnettSep 4, 2025
If the display on your GE Hob goes blank, it could be due to a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker in your home; replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. It's also possible that the clock is turned off. See the Special features section.

Why does my GE Hob make fan noise?
    • W
      Warren PatrickSep 5, 2025
A convection fan may automatically turn on and off in your GE Hob, which is normal on some models. The fan is designed to operate intermittently to maximize cooking evenness and operates during preheat of the bake cycle, turning off after the oven reaches the set temperature. Also, a cooling fan may automatically turn on and off to cool internal parts; it may run even after the oven is turned off.

Why am I getting a "burning" or "oily" odor emitting from the vent of my GE Hob?
    • J
      justin03Sep 6, 2025
A "burning" or "oily" odor from the vent of your GE Hob is normal in a new oven and will disappear in time. To speed up the process, set a self-clean cycle for a minimum of 3 hours. See the Cleaning the Oven section.
