Airbourne sound insulation of Sovent fittings
When Geberit Sovent fittings are used, it is possible to
assume the same airbourne sound propagation as in
Geberit HDPE stack branch fittimgs. We recommend
using Geberit Silent-db20 pipelines for Sovent discharge
stacks with increased acoustic insulation requirements.
The individual Sovent fittings must be insulated against
airbourne sound propagation using Geberit Isol.

Admitting and venting air in Sovent stacks
Each Sovent discharge stack must be individually
continued through the roof. If combined ventilation is
planned for several discharge stacks, this ventilation
collector pipe must be configured in accordance with the
applicable country-specific standards and regulations.
If the corresponding information is missing, a ventilation
collector pipe can be set up in accordance with the
followingrules:
• Combineamaximumof3Soventstacks
• Thesizeoftheventilationcollectorpipemustbe
increased in accordance with the following scheme
for each additional stack connected.
The use of air admittance valves in Sovent stacks is not
permitted. Air admittance valves can have a negative effect
on the discharge capacity of the Sovent discharge stack.
Mixed installations of the Sovent d110 and
Sovent d160
Mixed installations of Sovent fittings ø 110 / DN 100
und ø 160 / DN 150 in the same discharge stack are
not allowed.
