Mass memory
The motherboard contains a 44 pole 2mm pitch connector and a 40 pole 2.54mm pitch connector upon which
signals are provided for a 2.5” hard disk and/or a solid disk with an IDE AT interface compatible type Disk On
Module (DOM).
It is possible to install hard disks of any capacity, in compliance with these standards.
The 44 pin connector is mapped as an IDE PRIMARY interface, use this to install the hard disk or the DOMs.
The 40 pin connector is mapped as an IDE SECONDARY interface, use this for expansion chains, such as CDs for
example.
The product is normally provided complete with DOM or HD in compliance with order code.
Installation of the DOM
To install or replace the DOM once the system has been
opened, insert the module into the relative case, as
indicated in the drawing below, respecting the polarity.
INSTALLATION OF A HD
Gefran provides a kit complete with HD and mechanical support with a connection cable for complete installation of
the same.
The HD is installed onto the towers provided for the PC104 module. When PC104 modules are installed,
the HD block is always installed as the last.
For installation, insert the HD, correctly mounted
onto its support, into the 4 towers and block using 4 screws.
Connect the cable provided, respecting the polarities indicated.
