Hydraulic Generator
How to Purge the Hydraulic Line
on the MTE Generator
Electrocution hazard. Contact with
electrically charged circuits could
result in death or serious injury.
Remove all rings, watches and
other jewelry.
Note: This procedure should be performed if the
hydaulic line to the generator has been removed.
Note: Perform this procedure with the machine on a
firm, level surface.
1 Locate the blue purge wire with the male spade
connector from the MTE generator harness.
2 Connect a jumper wire of sufficient length from
the positive battery terminal to the spade
connector on the purge wire.
3 Start the engine and turn on the generator. Allow
the generator to run for three minutes.
4 Turn off the generator and turn off the engine.
5 Remove the jumper wire from the positive
battery terminal and disconnect from the purge
wire.
6 Start the engine and turn on the generator. Using
a digital multimeter check the voltage at the
outlet.
Result: The generator produces a voltage ±10%
of rated output. The generator is ready for use.
Result: The generator output voltage is outside
the ±10% voltage range. Repeat the procedure
beginning with step 2.
