Battery (03_17, 03_18)
To access the battery, proceed as follows:
1. Place the vehicle on its centre stand;
2. Open the saddle following the above instructions, see the «Saddle» section;
3. Remove the piston ring «A» and take out the battery cover.
The battery is the electrical device that requires the most frequent inspections. The
most relevant maintenance rules to be observed are as follows:

Use of a new battery
Make sure that the terminals are connected correctly. When a new battery is installed,
the correct time and date must be reset on the digital instrument panel.
CAUTION
DO NOT REVERSE THE POLARITY: RISK OF SHORT CIRCUIT AND DAMAGE
TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.
