  If you are experiencing an electrical short with your Graco Paint Sprayer, check all electrical wiring for damaged insulation and terminals for looseness or damage; repair or replace any faulty components and securely reconnect all wires. Look for missing inspection plate gaskets, bent terminal forks, or other metal-to-metal contact points that could cause a short and correct these conditions. If the motor armature has shorts, replace the motor. If the motor control board is the issue, replace it with a new pressure control board.

Why is the motor on my Graco 190ES 232900 Paint Sprayer hot and running intermittently?

  If your Graco Paint Sprayer motor is hot and runs intermittently, it might be due to operating at high pressure with small tips, causing low motor RPM and excessive heat. Decrease the pressure setting or increase the tip size. Also, ensure the ambient temperature where the sprayer is located is no more than 90°F and that the sprayer is not in direct sunlight. Move the sprayer to a shaded, cooler area if possible.
