Repair Fluid Temperature Sensor
(FTS)
Installation
The Fluid Temperature Sensor (FTS ) is supplied w ith
the system. Install FTS between main hose and
whip hose. See Heated Hose manual 309572 for
instructions.

Test/Removal
1. Perform Shutdown, page 44.
2. Remove tape and protective covering from FTS.
Disco nne ct ho se cab le (F).
3. If FTS is not reading properly at the end of the
hose, see Check RTD Cab le s and FTS, pa ge 65.
4. If FTS fails, replace FTS.
a. Disconnect air hoses (C,L) and electrical
connectors (D).
b. Disco nne ct FTS from w hip hose (W) and
fluid hoses (A, B).
c. Remove ground wire (K) from ground screw
on underside of FTS.
d. Remove FTS probe (H) from component A
(ISO) side of hose.
