Why is control of primary heat abnormal on my Graco Reactor E-10hp?
    • J
      Joshua SmithSep 23, 2025
Abnormal control of primary heat, such as high temperature overshoots or intermittent E01 errors, can be caused by dirty thermocouple connections. Examine the connection of thermocouples to the long green plug on the heater control board, unplug and re-plug the thermocouple wires, cleaning off any debris. Another cause is the thermocouple not contacting the heater element. Loosen the ferrule nut, push in the thermocouple so the tip contacts the heater element, and tighten the ferrule nut 1/4 turn past tight. Other potential causes include a failed heater element, signal failure from the thermocouple, or the thermocouple being wired incorrectly.

What to do if my Graco Reactor E-10hp Paint Sprayer fan is not working?
    • K
      kayleemayerAug 26, 2025
If the fan isn't working, check the fan wire to make sure it's not loose. If the fan is defective, replace it.

What causes excessive current draw in my Graco Reactor E-10hp?
    • G
      Gary EatonAug 26, 2025
Excessive current draw can occur for several reasons. First, try shutting off the unit and retrying operation, as the brushes may not be fully seated. Also, check the fan operation, as elevated temperature can cause excessive current draw. A locked rotor (motor unable to turn) can also cause this issue, requiring motor replacement. Lastly, disconnect the motor connections from the control board and cycle power. If status code 5 is still present, replace the board; otherwise, test the motor.

What to do if my Graco Reactor E-10hp Paint Sprayer has high motor temperature?
    • M
      morgan22Aug 27, 2025
If the motor temperature is too high, you can try the following: * Reduce the pressure duty cycle, gun tip size, or move the Reactor to a cooler location, and allow 1 hour for cooling. * Check the fan operation and clean the fan and motor housing. * Check the J9 overtemperature connector on the control board.

What to do if my Graco Paint Sprayer motor does not operate?
    • N
      Nicholas CummingsNov 22, 2025
If the motor isn't operating, here are some things to check: * If power was turned on while the function knob was set to a run position, set the function knob to Stop/Park until the status LED turns on, then select the desired function. * Inspect the motor power connections on the bottom board for any looseness. * Inspect the brushes for wear, and replace them if they are worn to less than 1/2 in. (13 mm). * Examine the brush springs for breakage or misalignment; realign or replace them as necessary. * Ensure that brushes or springs are not binding in the brush holder; clean the brush holder and align brush leads for free movement. * Check the motor commutator for burn spots, black pitting, or other damage. * If the armature is shorted, replace the motor. * If the control ...

What to do if only one side of my Graco Paint Sprayer doesn’t come up to pressure in spray mode?
    • X
      xfrancisSep 14, 2025
If only one side doesn't come up to pressure, refill the tank if the fluid level is low. Clean or repair the Recirc/Spray valve if it's dirty or damaged. Clear the fluid inlet strainer if it's plugged. Clean the pump intake valve if it's plugged or stuck open. If the material is too viscous, warm it before adding it to the tanks.

What does it mean if my Graco Reactor E-10hp Paint Sprayer status indicator is not lit?
    • O
      osbornenicholasSep 12, 2025
If the status indicator is not lit, make sure the function knob is set to Park/Off when power is applied. Check that the indicator cable is connected at J3 on the top motor control board. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the control board may have failed and need replacement. A shorted pressure transducer or potentiometer input could also be the cause.

What causes pump output to be low on my Graco Reactor E-10hp?
    • E
      Edward BurgessSep 13, 2025
Low pump output can be caused by a plugged fluid inlet strainer, which needs to be cleared. It can also be due to a leaking or plugged piston valve or intake valve in the displacement pump, in which case the valves should be checked.

What does it mean if my Graco Paint Sprayer has a pressure transducer ISO failure?
    • E
      Erin AyalaSep 5, 2025
If there is a Pressure Transducer ISO Failure, first check the transducer ISO electrical connection (J11). If that doesn't resolve the issue, reverse the ISO and RES transducer electrical connections at the board. If the error moves to transducer RES (Status Code 4), replace transducer ISO.

What to do if my Graco Reactor E-10hp Paint Sprayer has motor controller faults?
    • B
      Brittany LopezSep 3, 2025
If you're experiencing motor controller faults, cycle the power. If the error persists, replace the board.
