  Excessive current draw can occur for several reasons. First, try shutting off the unit and retrying operation, as the brushes may not be fully seated. Also, check the fan operation, as elevated temperature can cause excessive current draw. A locked rotor (motor unable to turn) can also cause this issue, requiring motor replacement. Lastly, disconnect the motor connections from the control board and cycle power. If status code 5 is still present, replace the board; otherwise, test the motor.
