Steering Lever Interlock Adjustment
See Figure 21.
Adjustment is required if a steering lever
moves forward or backward when the parking
brake is applied.
1. Stop engine and remove ignition key.
Chock wheels to prevent unit from rolling
2. Release parking brake.
3. Loosen but do not remove the outer lock
nut on the eccentric brake bushing.
4. Engage the parking brake. Bushing will
seat in notch in brake lever bracket.
5. Tighten lock nut.
6. If necessary, adjust steering levers to
ensure full alignment with each other.
ADJUSTING UNIT TO TRACK
STRAIGHT
Check and adjust tire pressure. Increase
pressure on side unit tracks. DO NOT exceed
maximum recommended tire pressure (see
Specifications on page 38).
1. Start engine and run until it reaches
normal operating temperature.
2. Move machine to an open, level area for
operation.
3. Drive machine forward, pushing both
control levers all the way to index bar.
4. If machine does not drive in a straight
line, a slight adjustment can be made to
the steering levers (see Steering Lever
Adjustment on page 26).
PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
The parking brake must keep the unit from
rolling.
Check Adjustment
NOTICE: Check parking brake on both sides
of unit.
1. Engage parking brake and set both
transmission bypass levers to neutral
position (see To Push The Unit on
page 17).
2. Attempt to push unit forward. If unit easily
rolls forward, transmission brakes are not
fully engaged. Tighten brake cable (see
Adjust Parking Brake on page 28).
3. Recheck that brake functions properly.
