What to do if cooling, heating, or indoor fan does not operate on Gree Heat Pump?

  If your Gree Heat Pump's cooling, heating, or indoor fan isn't working, first check that the thermostat is set to the correct mode (cool, heat, or fan on) and adjust the temperature accordingly. Then, verify that the circuit breakers and service disconnects are in the 'on' position to ensure the unit is receiving power. If you are enrolled in an energy discount plan, contact your utility company for details, as they may have override control.

  If your Gree Heat Pump isn't cooling or heating adequately, start by cleaning or replacing the indoor return air filter. Make sure that the thermostat temperature is properly set. Check that all return and supply grilles are open and unblocked. Ensure all doors and windows are closed during operation. Reduce direct sunlight exposure by closing window coverings. Finally, clear any obstructions around the outdoor unit to ensure proper airflow.

The Electric Heater Kit serves as an auxiliary heating source for Gree Flexx air handlers. The kit includes heating elements and associated electrical components, such as breakers, to safely deliver electric resistance heating.

Important Technical Specifications:

The manual lists several models of the Electric Heater Kit, each corresponding to different capacities (tonnage) of the Gree Flexx air handlers and offering various heating outputs (kW).

Models and Capacities:
- FLEXX24, FLEXX36 (AH OR BH) models are compatible with 2/3 tonnage units and can be equipped with either a FLEXXHTR5KW (5 kW) or FLEXXHTR8KW (8 kW) electric heater.
- FLEXX36, FLEXX48, FLEXX60 (AH or BH) models are compatible with 3/4/5 tonnage units and can be equipped with a FLEXXHTR10KW (10 kW) electric heater.
- FLEXX36 (BH Only) models are compatible with 3/4/5 tonnage units and can be equipped with a FLEXXHTR15KW (15 kW) electric heater.
- FLEXX48, FLEXX60 (AH or BH) models are compatible with 4/5 tonnage units and can be equipped with a FLEXXHTR20KW (20 kW) electric heater.
Electrical Requirements:
- The system operates on 230V1AH & BH (230V, single phase).
- Installation requires adherence to the National Electric Code and other applicable codes.
- Only copper conductors must be used for wiring.
- A means of strain relief and conductor protection must be provided at the supply wire entrance into the cabinet.
- The factory-installed breakers, while labeled with amperage ratings, are intended as service disconnects only and not as over-current protection devices. Separate service breakers, properly sized according to the data plate information, must be installed in the electrical breaker panel.

The electric heater kit is designed for straightforward integration into existing Gree Flexx air handler systems. 7. Reinstall the electrical box.
8. Reinstall the front and upper panels.
Single Point Wiring Kit Installation (Optional):
1. Remove the middle partition within the unit.
2. Attach the single point wiring kit.
3. Connect properly sized wire to the lugs as shown.
4. Reinstall the safety cover.
5. Add a field-supplied ground lug.
