Troubleshooting
Before investigating other issues make sure that the battery is charged. Recheck the battery after several minutes
to make sure the battery is holding its charge, many problems are avoided if the battery is properly charged and in
good working condition.
If there are any problems with the tool, an error code will appear.
Problem Likely Cause Solution
Tool is inoperative.
Dirt, Contaminants, etc., in Tool Head Clean around tool joints.
Tool Components Worn or Damaged Send in for Service
Broken Switch Components Send in for Service.
Error Code 3 Overheated Circuit Board Let tool cool for 15 min.
Error Code 4 Overheated Battery Let tool cool for 15 min.
Error Code 5 Battery Has No Charge Charge or replace battery.
Error Code 8 Low Battery Charge or replace battery.
Error Code 11 Tool Deactivated Send in for Service
Error Code 12 Internal problem Send in for Service
Motor runs but tool will
not complete a cycle.
Oil Level Low Send in for Service
Air in Hydraulic System
Pull trigger and hold retract button at the same time. Hold for
approximately 10 seconds, and then attempt to crimp.
If unsuccessful, send in for service.
Cold Oil
Pull trigger and hold retract button simultaneously to warm oil.
Store tool in warm area.
LED glows for 20
seconds.
Battery charge low. Charge or replace battery
Tool loses oil. Damaged Internal Seal Send in for Service
Constant light for 20
seconds at end of cycle.
Battery Charge Low Charge or replace battery.
Tool will not start, and
constant light for 20
seconds when trigger is
released
Battery Charge Low Charge or replace battery.
Tool will stop, and
constant light for 20
seconds after trigger is
released
Battery Charge Low Charge or replace battery.
Tool will stop, and
flashing light for 20
seconds when trigger is
released
Motor is Overloaded Let tool cool for 15 min.
Tool is Overheated Let tool cool for 15 min.
Flashing light for 20
seconds at end of cycle.
Internal Problem Send tool in for service
