5.1.2 Horizontal mounting of version H pumps
MTR, MTRE version H pumps are suitable for
horizontal mounting. The pump head is fitted with a
plug in the drain hole.

• Check the pump nameplate to confirm that the
pump is suitable for horizontal mounting.
The code for the pump version must be H. See
the section on type key
.
• Check if the motor needs support. Motors from 5.5
kW and up have a foot and must be supported.
• Fit a sealing gasket or similar between the pump
flange and the tank to prevent leakage.
Drain the tank before changing the shaft
seal.
Pump version H for horizontal mounting is
available for MTR, MTRE 1s, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,
8, 10, 15 and 20. MTR, MTRE 32, 45, 64
pumps must be installed in a vertical posi-
tion.
