5. Unpacking and assembling
1. Take the individual parts of the appliance out
of the packaging.
2. Dispose of all the packaging.
3. Check that the appliance is not damaged in
any way.
4. Remove any labels which may be on the
appliance.
5. Check the safety devices (see "6.1 Preparing
the pressure cooker" on page 27).
Caution! Before you use the appliance for the
first time it should be thoroughly cleaned to
ensure that any residue left over from production
is removed (see "7.2 Cleaning the pressure
cooker" on page 30).
6. Clean all the individual parts with hot
dishwater, rinse with clean water and dry
thoroughly.
7. Po ur i n aro und 2 l wa ter.
8. Operate the pressure cooker in position II for
about 30 minutes (see "6.2 Cooking" on
page 27).
9. Clean the pressure cooker again.
