Why won't my Hach Measuring Instruments power on?
    • M
      Mario ParkerAug 7, 2025
If your Hach Measuring Instruments meter won't power on, there may be a few reasons. First, check the battery orientation to ensure it matches the polarity markings. If that doesn't work, try cleaning the battery terminals and installing new batteries. You can also connect an AC power adapter to test. If the issue persists, it could be due to a damaged meter.

What to do if Hach Measuring Instruments displays '0 days remaining'?
    • D
      David MendezAug 12, 2025
If your Hach Measuring Instruments meter displays a '0 days remaining' message (specifically for LDO and LBOD), it means the LDO or LBOD sensor cap has been used for 365 days and needs to be replaced, along with the iButton®. Alternatively, it could indicate that the meter's date and time are set incorrectly. To resolve this, disconnect the probe, remove the meter batteries, reinstall them following the polarity markings, set the correct date and time, and then reconnect the probe.

      rosejodyAug 17, 2025
If your Hach Measuring Instruments displays a 'Probe Not Supported' message, first, ensure the probe is properly connected by tightening the locking nut on the probe connector. If the issue continues, disconnect the probe and then reconnect it. To determine if the problem lies with the probe or the meter, try connecting a different IntelliCAL probe to the meter.

Why does my Hach Laboratory Equipment say 0 days remaining (for LDO and LBOD only)?
    • B
      Belinda Ortiz DVMAug 21, 2025
The message '0 days remaining' appears for LDO and LBOD sensors when the sensor cap has been used for 365 days and needs replacing. Another possible cause is that the meter is set to an incorrect date and time. To resolve this: 1. Disconnect the probe from the meter. 2. Remove the meter batteries. 3. Install the meter batteries properly, following the polarity markings. 4. Set the correct date and time in the meter. 5. Connect the probe and verify that the message has been removed. Also, this message can appear if there are 0 days remaining in the life of the LDO sensor cap. In this case, you should replace the LDO sensor cap. Calibration will be allowed. However, the calibration icon and question mark will appear on the measurement screen even if the calibration has passed.

If your meter doesn't power on or powers on intermittently, it might be due to incorrectly installed batteries. First, check the battery orientation to ensure it follows the polarity markings. If that doesn't work, clean the battery terminals and install new batteries. You can also connect an AC power adapter and test again.
