  If your HAMPTON BAY Fan won't start, check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers. Also, inspect the line wire connections to the fan and the switch wire connections in the switch housing. Ensure the frequency switches on both the remote control and receiver are set to the same frequency. Try turning the AC power off, waiting 10 seconds, and then turning it back on. You may also need to reset the transmitter by performing the “LEARNING PROCESS”.

  If your HAMPTON BAY Fan wobbles, first verify that all blades and blade bracket screws are secure, as loose parts often cause wobble. After proper installation, let the fan run for 10 minutes to self-adjust. If wobbling continues, check blade level: measure from the center of each blade to a point on the ceiling, ensuring deviations are within 1/8 inch. If deviations exceed 1/8 inch, contact Customer Service (1-855-HD-HAMPTON) to order complimentary replacements of your brackets. If deviations are less than 1/8 inch and the fan continues to wobble, please call Customer Service (1-855-HD-HAMPTON) to order a complimentary blade balancing kit.

  If your HAMPTON BAY Fan sounds noisy, ensure all motor housing screws are snug and that the screws attaching the fan blades to the motor hub are tight. Check that wire nut connections aren't rattling against each other or the switch housing's interior. Allow a 24-hour "breaking-in" period for the fan, as most new fan noises disappear during this time. If using a ceiling light kit, ensure the glassware is tightly secured. Verify there's a short distance between the ceiling and the canopy, preventing contact. Also, confirm that your ceiling box is secure and rubber isolator pads are used between the mounting bracket and outlet box.
