Fan Mounting Systems
The Dualmount System Gives You
Three Installation Options
1. Closemount for additional clearance
in rooms with normal to low ceilings
2. Downrod for standard ceiling
3. Downrod for vaulted ceilings. Longer
downrods for vaulted ceilings are
available at Lowe’s.
Flushmount fans are excellent for
installation in rooms with low ceilings.
Ceiling Height
For optimum performance, fan blades should be 7 to 9 feet from the floor.
Fans with blades lower than 7 feet from the floor can be a safety hazard.
The blades in standard mounts are 12 inches from the ceiling and 9
inches from the ceiling for huggers. Fans with downrods move more air
than huggers because there is more air to move between the ceiling and
the blades.
