Installing Duct
Thepellet furnacemay be connectedto a gasor oil-red
centralfurnaceorheatpumpductsystem.Priortoinstallation,
determinewhetherallrequirementsforinstallationincluding
allclearnacescanbemet.
Thepelletfurnacewarmairsupplyandthecoldairreturn
must be installed in a parallel arrangement. EXAMPLE:
Thewarm airsupply duct from thepellet furnace isto be
connected to the warm air supply of the existingfurnace.
Alsothecoldairreturnductfromtheexistingfurnaceisto
beconnectedtothecoldairreturnductofthepelletfurnace.
Isolationdampers (2)should be installedin the ductwork.
(1)inthewarmairsupplyductfortheexistingfurnaceand
(1)inthewarmairsupplyductofthepelletfurnaceafteror
“downstream”ofthehighlimit/fancontrol.Thesedampers
canbemanuallyoperatedorfullyautomatic.Ineithercase,
theunitthatisnotbeingusedmustbepreventedfrombeing
operated.(Thisalsocanbedonemanuallyorautomatically.)
NOTE:Anycontrolwiring,powerwiringneededshouldbe
performedbyaqualiedinstallerand/orelectrician.
Thewarm-airsupplyoutletofthepelletfurnaceshallnotbe
connectedtothecold-airreturninletoftheexistingfurnace
becauseofthepossibilityofoverheatingcomponentsofthe
existing furnace, causing the existing furnace to operate
otherthanasintended.
We recommend that the warm air supply plenum be
constructedofsheetmetal.

Installation
Mobile Home Installation
Thisfurnace may be installed in a manufactured / mobile
home.Thefollowingspecicrequirementsmustbemet;
1. Thefurnacemustbehookeduptoanoutsideairsource.

2. Thefurnacemustbesecuredorboltedtotheoorofthe
mobilehome.Uselagboltsthroughtheprovidedholes
(seebelow).
3. Thefurnacemustbegroundedtotheframeofthemobile
home.
4. Floor protection and clearance specications must be
followed,includingtheminimumroomsizeof8feetby8
feet.
5. As in any installation, the furnace must be vented to
the outside, using only approved 4 inch pellet venting
materials.
6. Thefurnacecannotbeinstalledinaroomspeciedasa
sleepingroom.
Mobile home installation must be done in accordance
with the Manufactured Home and Safety Standard (HUD),
CFR 3280, Part 24.
