Combustion Blower Cleaning
Removethecombustionblowerheatshield.Therearetwo
latchesthatholdtheshieldinplace.SeeFig.69Flipthe
latchesupandpulltheshieldawayfromthefurnace.Itcan
notbefullyremoved,itcanonlybemoveddownoverthe
wireuntilithangsonthejunctionbox.
ThefurnaceMUST be OFF and COOLbeforeyoushould
attempttocleanthecombustionblower.
The wire to the combustion blower doesn’t need to be
disconnectedduringthecleaningprocess.
Loosenthethree(3)thumbscrewsabout4turnseach.See
Fig.70.Holdthemotorheadwithonehandandtheblower
platehandlewiththeotherhand.Pulloutwardontheplate
handleuntilthecompleteunitcomesloose.Nowrotatethe
platecounter-clockwiseabout1/8turn.Thiswillallowthe
completeassemblytoberemovedfromtheblowerchamber.
Cleantheblowerfanbladesandtheblowerplatesealing
overlap.SeeFig.71.
Note:Becarefulnottobendthefanblades,thiswillthrow
thefanbladeoutofbalanceoritmayrubtheinnerchamber,
which may affect the performance of the furnace. Any
horizontalandverticaluepipedirectlyabovetheunitshould
becleanedatthistime.
Note: Thehorizontaluepipedirectlyabovethefurnaceis
therstplaceyashwillsettle,duetotheslowingofue
gasvelocitythroughhorizontalpipe.Cleaningofhorizontal
ventingpipesisveryimportanttotheefciencyofthisfurnace.

Low Fuel Sensor
TheDraftDifferentialPressureSwitchmonitorsthedraft
pressureinthehopper.Thistting,knownastheMufer,
mayneedtobecleanedoccasionally.Usecautionwhen
performinganymaintenanceinthehoppersoyoudon’t
damagetheMuferortheLowFuelSensor.
