MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
Never use a hose, water, or any liquids to clean or
rinse off the lawn mower. Corrosiveliquids,water,fer-
tilizers,andchemicalsusedtotreatlawnscanenterthe
lawnmowerand/orbatterycompartmentanddamage
electroniccomponentsand/orthebatterypack,which
can result in a short circuit, increased risk of fire, and
serious personal injury. Remove any buildup of grass
andleavesonoraroundthemowerhousingand/orun-
derneaththemowerdeck.Wipethemowercleanwith
adryclothoccasionally.
NOTICE:
Periodically inspect the entire product for damaged,
missing, or loose parts such as screws, nuts, bolts, caps,
etc.Tightensecurelyallfastenersandcapsanddonot
operate this product until all missing or damaged parts
are replaced. Please contact customer service or an
authorizedservicecenterforassistance.
WARNING:
Before performing any maintenance or cleaning the lawn
mower, make sure the mower blades come to a complete
stopandthebatteriesandstartkeyareremovedtoavoid
accidentalstartingandpossibleseriouspersonalinjury.

OPERATION
Whencuttingheavygrass,reducewalkingspeedtoallow
formoreeffectivecuttingandaproperdischargeofthe
clippings.
Donotcutwetgrass.Itwillsticktotheundersideofthe
deckandpreventproperbaggingormulchingofgrass
clippings.
Neworthickgrassmayrequireanarrowercutorahigher
cuttingheight.
Clean the underside of the mower deck after each use
toremovegrassclippings,leaves,dirt,andany other
accumulateddebris.
NOTE:Alwaysstopmower,allowbladestocompletely
stop,removethestartkeyandremovethebatterypack
from the battery port before cleaning underneath the
mower.
SLOPE OPERATION

WARNING:
Slopes are a major factor related to slip and fall accidents
thatcanresultinsevereinjury.Operationonslopesre-
quiresextracaution.Ifyoufeeluneasyonaslope,donot
mowit.Foryoursafety,donotattempttomowslopes
greaterthan15degrees.
Mowacrossthefaceofslopes,notupanddown.Exer-
ciseextremecautionwhenchangingdirectiononslopes.
Watchforholes,ruts,rocks,hiddenobjects,orbumps
whichcancauseyoutosliportrip.Tallgrasscanhide
obstacles.Removeallobjectssuchasrocks,treelimbs,
etc.,whichcouldbetrippedoverorthrownbytheblade.
Alwaysbesureofyourfooting.Aslipandfallcancause
seriouspersonalinjury.Ifyou feelyouarelosingyour
balance,releasetheupperbladecontrolleverimmedi-
ately.
Do not mow near drop-offs, ditches, or embankments;
youcouldloseyourfootingorbalance.

Openbatterycover.
Removestartkeyandbatterypackfromthebatteryport.
Liftthereardischargedoor.
Lift the grass catcher by its handle to remove from
mower.
Emptygrassclippings.
Lift the rear discharge door and reinstall the grass catcher
asdescribedearlierinthismanual.
Reinstallstartkeyandbatterypackwhenyouareready
tomow.
