Protection The monitor is double-insulated and has a primary
fuse which disconnects the monitor from the mains
in the event of a fault. Make sure you have removed
the batteries from the battery compartment before
connecting the power supply unit.

The power supply unit housing protects against
touching parts that can carry a current (fingers,
needles, test hooks). The user must not touch the
patient and the outlet plug of the AC / DC power
supply unit at the same time.
Legal requirements and guidelines
The Veroval
®
upper arm blood pressure monitor conforms to the European
regulations, which are based on the European Medical Device Directive 93/42/
EEC, and bears the CE mark.
The monitor corresponds to, among other things, the requirements of the
European standard EN 1060: Non-invasive Blood Pressure Monitors – Part 3:
Supplementary requirements for electromechanical blood pressure measure-
ment systems, as well as the IEC 80601-2-30 standard.
Clinical testing of measuring accuracy was performed in accordance with the
European Standard EN 1060-4.
Beyond statutory requirements, the monitor has been clinically validated by
the ESH-IP2 Protocol of the European Society of Hypertension (ESH).
