Why won't my Heath Zenith Outdoor Light come on?
    • D
      Danielle GriffithJul 28, 2025
There are several reasons why your Heath Zenith Outdoor Light might not be turning on: 1. Ensure the light switch is in the on position. 2. Check the flood lamp to see if it is loose or burned out, and replace it if necessary. 3. Verify that the fuse hasn't blown or the circuit breaker isn't off; replace the fuse or switch the breaker on if needed. 4. If it's daytime, the daylight turn-off feature may be active; check again after dark. 5. For new installations, double-check that the circuit wiring is correct. 6. Make sure the light control is aimed correctly to cover the desired area.

Why does my Heath Zenith Outdoor Light stay on all the time?
    • L
      Lisa HoffmanAug 2, 2025
Your Heath Zenith outdoor lights might stay on continuously due to a few reasons: 1. A flood lamp may be positioned too close to the light control or pointed at nearby objects, causing heat to trigger the light control. Reposition the flood lamp away from the light control or nearby objects. 2. The light control could be picking up a heat source, such as an air vent, dryer vent, or brightly painted, heat-reflective surface. Try reducing the range. 3. The light control may be in manual mode. Switch the light control to AUTO.

Why does my Heath Zenith 5105 Outdoor Light come on randomly?
    • E
      Ernest CookeAug 6, 2025
If your Heath Zenith outdoor lights are activating for no clear reason, consider these possibilities: 1. The light control might be detecting small animals or automobile traffic. Try re-aiming the light control. 2. The range setting could be too high; reduce the range. 3. The DualBrite® timer may be active. If so, the fixture is operating normally.

Why does my Heath Zenith 5105 turn on during the day?
    • P
      Patricia EspinozaAug 10, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Outdoor Light is turning on during the day: 1. The light control might be installed in a relatively dark location, in which case the fixture is operating as expected. 2. The light control might be set to TEST mode. Change the control switch to 1, 5, or 10 minutes.

Why is my Heath Zenith 5105 Outdoor Light flashing on and off?
    • M
      Monica CampbellAug 15, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Outdoor Light is flashing on and off, here are a few potential causes: 1. Heat or light from the flood lamps may be turning the light control on and off. Reposition the flood lamp away from the light control. 2. Heat being reflected from other objects may be causing the light control to cycle on and off. Try repositioning the light control. 3. If the light control is in TEST mode, this flashing is normal as the unit warms up. 4. Light may be leaking through the flood lamp reflectors. Replace the flood lamps with new, high-quality PAR 38 lamps, ensuring the metal lamp protectors are installed.

What to do if my Heath Zenith 5105 Outdoor Light turns off too late in Dusk-to-Dawn setting?
    • J
      Jose JenningsAug 19, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Outdoor Light turns off too late when set to Dusk-to-Dawn, it might be because the light control is installed in a relatively dark location. Consider relocating the light control, or switch to the 3 hr. or 6 hr. setting.

What to do if Heath Zenith Outdoor Light flashes once, then stay off in manual mode?
    • A
      Ashley Parsons MDAug 23, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Outdoor Light flashes once and then remains off in manual mode, it's likely that the light control is detecting its own lights. Try repositioning the flood lamps to ensure the area below the light control stays relatively dark.
