Other service tasks that are more difficult, or require special tools, must be performed by an
authorized service centre.
The maintenance schedule applies to normal operating conditions. If you operate your engine
under severe conditions, such as sustained high-load or high-temperature operation, or use in
unusual wet or dusty conditions, consult your servicing dealer for recommendations applicable
to your individual needs and use.
After finishing season carefully clean the machine and all metal and moving parts lubricate by
grease or oil so that the machine would be prepared for next season. Before next operation
with the machine carefully check all the components.
Frequently check fastening of all screws, nuts etc. in order to keep the machine in safe working
condition.
Once in the season let inspect and maintain the machine in authorised service center.
WARNING! Failure to properly follow maintenance instructions and precautions
can cause you to be seriously hurt or killed. Always follow the procedures and
precautions in this owner‘s manual.
MACHINE MAINTENANCE
Careful handling and regular cleaning ensure that the machine remains functional and efficient
for a long time.
Keep the machine in good condition, if necessary change warning and instruction labels on
the machine.
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws stight to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition.
To reduce the fire hazard, keep the engine, silencer and petrol storage area free of all debris or
excessive grease.
Always ensure that the ventilation openings are kept clear of debris.
Replace worn or damaged parts for safety. Use only original spare parts.
CLEANING
CAUTION: Do not hose engine. Water can damage engine or contaminate the fuel
system.
1. Allow engine to cool at least a half hour before cleaning.
2. Wipe the surface of the machine and engine cover with dry cloth.
Never use aggressive detergents or solvents for cleaning.
3. Keep earth auger body clean. Use a soft cloth dampened with a mild soap and water mixture
and wipe the earth auger body to clean.
4. Clean the cylinder fins with a wire brush or compressed air to prevent overheating.
CLEANING OF AIR FILTER
The engine never run without air filter. Otherwise dust and debris can get into the engine
what will cause damage of it. Air filter keep clean.
1. Turn off the engine.
2. Loosen the air cleaner cover retaining screw by turning it counterclockwise (fig. 8A).
3. Remove the air filter (fig. 8C) from the filter housing (fig. 8B).
4. Clean filter by soap and water. Let filter inlay dry in the air. Never use petrol!
5. Saturate the foam element with clean engine oil. To remove the excess engine oil, squeeze
the foam element in a clean cloth.
