• Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts
and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power
tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting
edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
• Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions,
taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power
tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
• Avoid placing any objects on the product, especially flammable, electrically conductive
objects or objects containing liquids.
• Do not throw any object into the product, especially metal and flammable objects. Prevent
spontaneous fall of small objects into the product.
• Never use brute force.
• Hold the power tool only on the insulated handle surfaces, as the cutting tool may come
into contact with concealed power cables. Contact between the cutting tool and a live cable
may render metallic components live and result in an electric shock.
SERVICE
• Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR HEDGE TRIMMERS
• Do not touch the cutting blade with any part of your body. If the blades are in motion,
do not remove the cut parts of branches and do not hold them by hand. When removing
the jammed parts of branches, make sure that the switch is in the ‘off’ position. A moment
of inattention when working with a hedge trimmer can result in serious personal injury.
• Carry the hedge trimmer by holding the handle with the cutting blade stopped. Always
attach the cutting blade cover when transporting or storing. Proper handling of the hedge
trimmer reduces the potential risk of personal injury caused by cutting blades.
• Keep the power cord out of the cutting area. During work, the cord can be hidden in
the bushes and accidentally cut by the blade.
• Check the trimmed hedge to see if there are no foreign objects, such as wire fences.
• Hold the trimmer correctly, with both hands.
PERSONAL PROTECTION AND FIRST AID
• If possible, work only in areas where could be, in case of need, called an ambulance!
Note:I
Note - we recommend always having:
• A suitable fire extinguisher (snow, powder, halotron) at your disposal.
• A fully equipped first-aid kit, easily accessible for accompaniment and operator.
• Mobile phone or other device for quickly calling emergency services.
• Accompaniment familiar with the principles of first aid.
C Accompaniment must keep a safe distance from the workplace while always seeing you!
• Always follow the principles of first aid in case of any injuries.
