c) Airbag protection areas
The airbag protects vital areas in the event of a fall or accident (thorax, abdomen,
neck, back, hips, sacrum). Its protection volume eectively absorbs shocks and its
shape stabilizes the chest, thus limiting the risk of hyperexion of the spine.
CAUTION
The airbag cannot provide total protection against injury but it reduces the risk.
Body parts that are not covered by the airbag are not protected. The protection of
the airbag is only guaranteed in the inated state.
d) Detection of accidents and falls
The Helite electronic system detects several congurations of accidents or falls. It
analyzes movements, speed, impacts and uses a GPS signal.
