How to fix a Hilti Tools that jams and won't extend?

If your Hilti fastening tool jams and doesn't extend, keep it pressed against the work surface for at least 10 seconds and trigger it again. If that doesn't work, lift the tool away from the surface. Try pulling the fastener guide to its initial position by hand. Immediately pull the cartridge strip out of the tool. Allow the tool to cool down at a safe location under observation. If problems persist, service the tool or contact Hilti Service.
