1 Description
1.1 General description
The RSPM media modules are designed for exclusive use in a RSPE basic
device.
By using media modules, you obtain up to 16 additional Fast Ethernet ports
on a RSPE basic device.
You will find more information on the media modules in the “User Manual for
Installation of RSPE”.
You can choose from between a wide range of variants. You have the option
to set up your device individually based on different criteria:
Types of connectors
Support of PoE(+)
Temperature range
Certifications
The RSPM media modules are designed for the special requirements of
industrial automation. They meet the relevant technical standards, provide
very high operational reliability, even under extreme conditions, and also
long-term reliability and flexibility.
You have the option of choosing various media to connect to the end devices
and other network components:
Multimode optical fiber
Singlemode optical fiber
Twisted pair cable
