Gather
the
proper
tools
before
you
begin
:
Small

Before
you
remove
your
controller
board
from
its
package
,
ground
your-
self
by
touching
the
metal
portion
of
a
table
or
chair
,
so
you
do
not
transmit
a
static
charge
to
the
board
or
workstation
.
As
you
unpack
your
controller
board
and
CD
drive,
inspect
them
for
ob-
vious
defects
or
shipping
damage.
If
either
is
damaged
,
call
OCLC
User
&
Network
Support
to
request
a
replacement
.

Turn
off
the
power
to
your
workstation
and
unplug
it.

If
you
do
not
turn
off
and
unplug
the
workstation,
you
can
electro-
cute
yourself
.
If
you
have
a CD
and/or
CD
drive
case
attached
to
your
worksta-
tion
,
do
not
remove
the
cable
that
connects
your
CD
drive
and/or
CD
drive
case
to
your
workstation
until
step
9
of
this
section
.
Use
the
small
flathead
screwdriver
to
disconnect
the
monitor
cable
and
other
cables
as
necessary
. Label all
of
the
cables
as
you
discon-
nect
them
. This
helps
you
properly
reattach
them
.
Set
the
monitor,
keyboard
,
and
peripherals
aside.
Follow
the
directions
in
your
Workstation
User
Guide
to
remove
the
sy
stem
unit
cover
.
If
you
remove
an
y
screws
,
be
sure
to
set
them
aside
in
a safe
place
. Avoid
catching
the
cover
on
any
wires
or
c
ables
inside
the
unit. Set
the
cover
aside.
If
y
ou
do
not
already
have
a CD drive
case
and/or
CD
drive
attached
to
your
workstation
,
skip
steps
6
through
10,
and
continue
from
section
3
where
you
install
the
CD
controller
board
and
drive
.
If
you
already
have
a CD
drive
case
and/or
CD
drive
attached
to
your
workstation,
continue
from
step
6.
