5-2 Installing the Driver and Utility

Windows Server 2003 R2 Environment

□ Installing the driver

Drivers bundled in Windows Server 2003 cannot be used.

If you install the driver and HBAnyware in Windows Server 2003 , be sure to install Service Pack 2 and

the update program (Hotfix). If they are not available, the driver and HBAnyware cannot be installed. The

driver and HBAnyware cannot operate properly.

Download the update program from the site below according to your Windows in use.

1. Turnonthepowerofthebladeserver,bootWindows,andloginas"Administrator".

Install the driver of this adapter at the same time as HBAnyware.

During installation, do not start any other application.

When the adapter is added, the standard driver of OS may be applied. Install the driver according to the

above-mentioned procedure. If you reinstall the driver, also follow the above procedure. When you start

the OS or add the adapter, a pop-up window for driver installation may appear. Click [Cancel] and install

the driver according to the following procedure. The pop-up appears twice per adapter.

2. Insert "Driver Kit CD Version 11-04 or later for Compute Blade 2000" or "Driver Kit CD Version 04-02 or later for

Compute Blade 320" CD-ROM into the CD/DVD drive.

3. Activate the "APInstall.exe" corresponding to the OS.

4. The driver and the utility are installed automatically. Wait until "AutoPilot Installer" on the task bar disappears.

It will take a few minutes until completion of installation.

5. Installation has finished when "AutoPilot Installer" on the task bar disappears.

6. Restart OS.
